Prey – DUPLICATION Exploit After Patch 1.02 (How to Duplicate Materials after new Patch)

Prey – Infinite/Unlimited materials after patch 1.02 (How to Duplicate Materials after new Patch)

Here’s an easy way to duplicate infinite materials in Prey, even after the new patch 1.02.

Put a material in the fabricator and split it up across as many slots as you want, but make sure each slots has less than 1 material in it.

Now save the game and quickload it. The materials in the fabricator will now be rounded up to 1.

So, if you put in 1 material in the fabricator and split it up 48 times across all slots, save and load, you will get 48 materials out of 1.

This duplication glitch after patch 1.02 works a lot slower than the original exploit but still allows you to stock up on materials whenever you want.

T

he Prey we see before us today has a long development process and many shifts in story and gameplay behind it. Initially developed by 3D Realms as Prey 2, this unfinished project was announced way back in 2006 and should focus on a bounty hunter called Samuels who lost part of his memory. When the rights transferred to ZeniMax Media, the game was re-announced in 2011 with changes to story, characters and a focus on a more open world. Six years later, we finally get to play a new Prey, it’s Prey.

The story takes place in a fictional timeline where President John F. Kennedy survived the day he was assassinated. This fuels him to fund space programs leading mankind into other worlds which attracts the attention of an alien race called Typhon. The space station Talos 1 is built to learn more about the Typhon. You start your adventure on the station as Director of Research Morgan Yu, who learns early on nothing is as it seems.

Prey – Blast yourself 20 Meters as Object (Escape Velocity Achievement/Trophy Guide)

Prey – Blast yourself 20 Meters as Object (Escape Velocity Achievement/Trophy Guide)

To blast yourself 20 meters in Prey you have to mimic a small object like materials you hold and blast yourslf off on of the highest platforms you can find in the game. This can be done very early on in prey. All you need to do is collect a material and unlock “MIMIC MATTER” and “KINETIC BLAST”.

Make your way to the Talos 1 Lobby and walk up the stairs to Level 3. Launching yourself from the right spot on this level gives you just enough height to blast yourself 20 meters down. Just before the corridor that leads to the Hardware Labs you can find some plants and benches. This is you launching spot with a 20 meter drop.

Go into the menu and pick one of the materials to mimic. Position yourself on the edge next to the plant and use kinetic blast while aiming towards the way you came up. This will blast you backwards and if you got the angle right it should blast you all the way back to the glass surface on the bottom.

Prey – Spawn or Repel Nightmares (You Rang Achievement / Trophy Guide)

Prey – “Mixed Signals” side quest walkthrough and how to spawn nighmares and make nightmares disappear. You Rang Achievement / Trophy Guide.

HOW TO START MIXED SIGNALS
This side quest starts as soon as you encounter your first nightmare in the game. After you evade or defeat the nightmare you will get a call.

If you haven’t found a nightmare and want to spawn one instantly you have to unlock any 3 powers in ENERGY, MORPH or TELEPATHY. This will start a short cutscene and a nightmare will appear.

CONTINUING MIXED SIGNALS
Follow the quest marker to the Machine Shop in the Hardware Labs. The terminal you have to repair there requires 8 spare parts and LVL. 3 REPAIR.

After repairing the terminal, pick up the satellite psychotronic transistor on the communication device.

The final step takes you to the Talos 1 Exterior. A satellite with the second transistor is floating near Shuttle Bay/Hardware Labs.

Pick it up to receive the two audio logs called. Satellite Signal: Repel Nightmare and Satellite Signal: Attract Nightmare.

If you play one of the two audio logs a Nightmare will either spawn or instantly disappear.
